On Thursday, Dec. 14 , 2023, PTF-26 departed from Morro Bay for the last time. Capt. Don Wilborn, master of F/V LINDA J, and USMC veteran, Dave Bernard of Morro Bay, eased the ninety-five foot Vietnam War gunboat past the breakwater and proceeded toward San Diego at an average speed of 8.5 knots. Entering San Diego on Saturday, Dec. 16, PTF-26 tied off at the Maritime Museum of San Diego for an overnight stop and crew change. Relieving Capt. Wilborn and Engr Bernard was CAPT Gary Fischmann
